Creativity Can Help Save On Summer Camp Fees

SEATTLE — March 23, 2009 — Giant Campus, the nationally recognized leader in innovative technology education programs for youth and adults, recently launched its national video contest for kids and teens. The contest provides the opportunity for youth to win a free week of a Tech, Digital Media and Gaming camp at any Giant Campus location across the country. The contest is centered on the campaign theme “I’d Rather Be…” Kids are encouraged to create a short video relating to the theme with inspirational technology answers related to the summer computer camps such as I’d Rather Be Building A Robot, I’d Rather Be Designing a Web Site and I’d Rather Be Modding a Video Game.

“Here at Giant Campus we’re inspired by today’s youth and the creative ways they approach today’s technologies,” said Sylvia Kurinsky Marketing Manager for Giant Campus. “Every summer we provide campers the chance to experience their “I’d Rather Be” dream. The video contest is their chance to share their story in a creative and expressive manner and to win a free week of camp.”

In order for kids to enter the video contest, they will need to create and submit a short 30-45 second video telling, showing, or acting out their “I’d Rather Be” story. A winner will be chosen for each Giant Campus Tech, Digital Media and Gaming camp location such as MIT, Stanford, UCLA and University of Washington.

Giant Campus Tech, Digital Media and Gaming Camps registration fees typically range in price from $699 - $799. This is a great opportunity for kids to express their creativity and save on summer camp fees.

Giant Campus summer camps inspire kids and teens with technology while engaging them in 21st century skills such as creativity, problem solving, communication and collaboration. More about the video contest can be found at:
